My highly ulcer prone Lusitano has improved significantly on twice daily Kelato, along with keeping him chewing Timothy and alfalfa hays. He also gets vitamin E. We’ve gone almost a year without requiring expensive ulcers treatments. In the 5 years I’ve owned him he’s had 2-3 occurrences of ulcers every year despite living an idyllic life. Kelato has been a game changer for us.
I have a QH Paint that struggles with his gut. Every fall once the weather starts to turn he gets girthy, his hindgut is unhappy, and he ends up with ulcers. This winter he was scoped and found both squamous and glandular ulcers. After his treatment of GG for 6 weeks, I transitioned him to Protek GI. He's been a happy boy so far. Girthy attitude is minimal and he's no longer kicking at his stomach when I'm in the saddle. I've pretty much tried every product out there. This is the first time he's been fully off proton pump inhibitors and I'm hoping to keep him that way through the winter.
I was suggested this product for my ulcer prone horse to use in conjunction with Relyne. So far, so good. After battling ulcers for almost three years, we are almost ulcer free. Keeping us the prayers using these products!!
