As a dressage trainer and endurance rider, I use Protek GI on my horses which are competing and traveling and have noticed an improvement in body condition and attitude. The only reason I’ve given four instead of five stars is the high cost.
Two weeks on this product and we have seen a noticeable improvement in a horse recovering from gastric ulcers. Wonderful product that actually worked for him. Will continue to use. Hope it will come to smartpaks soon
My mare is picky and eats this no problem. I recommend this to everyone who asks about a gut supplement for ulcer prone horses. I have seen great results over the last several years using Protek GI!
My mare was extremely touchy with grooming to the point of scary. After treating for ulcers, I started using Protek GI twice a day. It’s been almost a year and she’s a completely different horse. Happy, calm, loves grooming.
I’ve had a good experience with Protek GI for helping with horse ulcer prevention. It seems to work well, but it is definitely on the expensive side. My biggest complaint is that it’s a powder—the powder gets everywhere and always makes me sneeze! Shipping also took a little longer than I’m used to, so I almost didn’t time my next order correctly. Overall, I like the product, but I’d love to see a less messy and wasteful format.
